Prospect Park Indoor Tennis Center is Open

No need to stop playing tennis, just take the game inside.

As the air gets chillier, there’s no reason to quit tennis for the season. The Prospect Park Tennis Center, with newly renovated clay courts, open today.

The bubble is open daily from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. Click here for more information on hourly and seasonal rates. The center is located on Coney Island and Parkside avenues and has 11 courts, nine of which are made by HarTru and two are Deco-Turf hard courts.

Tennis has long been a tradition in Prospect Park: in 1990, there were 300 tennis courts on Long Meadow. In 1960, the tennis courts were moved to the Parade Ground and in 2006 the Prospect Park Tennis Center was updated to what it is today.
