Prospect Park Floods, Again!

After a night of rain, the pathways were submerged under water.

It seems that whenever it rains in Park Slope, the pathways throughout Prospect Park become mini meres.

But these aren't pristine pools in paradise, but rather stagnant, murky puddles.

On Thursday morning, the stone paths inside the park near the Third Street entrance, off Prospect Park West, were under water. The rain water rose up to the bench seats near the Garfield Place entrance.

Since the water was ankle deep, and shin-high in some spots, park goers (and dogs!) had to walk around the giant stand-still lochs by stepping on to the dirt and grass, which turned into mucky mud.
