Photo of the Day: Fire Escape in the Sun

This photo was taken during last week's heat wave, and it's supposed to be hot, hot, hot today.

This is a picture of the sun, blasting at 100 degrees last week, shining through a fire escape on Third Street.

Today, it is supposed to be mostly sunny, with a high near 94 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 a.m.

Get ready for a hot weekend, with temperatures through Sunday over 90 degrees.
