Patrick Stewart Moves to Park Slope

The actor boldly moves into the neighborhood...where no starship captain has gone before.

 

Now that the , it's only fitting for Captain Picard to find quarters nearby.

Actor Patrick Stewart, best known for playing the starship captain on TV's "Star Trek: The Next Generation," has moved into a new Park Slope pad, paying over $2 million for the place, says Brownstoner.

And while the blog wouldn't reveal the address, they did mention that the home includes plenty of bedrooms and a spacious backyard.

Stewart, born in West Yorkshire, England, is a veteran of the Royal Shakespeare Company, star of numerous Broadway shows, and is well-known to X-Men fans as professor Charles Xavier from the films based on the comic series.

Recently, Stewart carried the Olympic torch as part of the official relay for the 2012 Summer Olympics.
