An evening at Melt is sure to make your sweetheart swoon. The restaurant is serving up a special four-course Valentine’s dinner, complete with a glass of champagne for $50. The menu is studded with edible aphrodisiacs, such as bacon-wrapped scallops with honey miso, lobster bisque with brandied enoki and a dark chcolate mousse torte with strawberry coulis. See the eatery’s website for a full menu.

What spells romance more that classic French cookery? Fifth Avenue French spot Moutarde is usually closed on Mondays, but will open up especially for the holiday. We suggest ending the meal with the restaurant’s excellent crème brûlée — to share, of course.

A candle-lit evening at Palo Santo is always romantic, but Chef Jacques Gautier’s Valentine’s menu is sure to make it even more so. Gautier is dishing out a five-course tasting menu with meat, fish and vegetarian options such as rabbit fricassee with roasted shallots, foie gras and sweet potato dumplings or seared diver scallops with pumpkin rice, asparagus and Riesling pan gravy for $160 per couple. Best yet, Palo Santo is serving up the special meal all weekend, so you can celebrate early.

Take your favorite foodie to Stone Park Cafe for V-day, where interesting menu items such as fois gras torchon with honey mascarated sour cherries and braised pork cannelloni with quail egg and ricotta salata dominate. Of course, the white tablecloths and cozy atmosphere are a nice touch, too.

Baluchi’s

Mix it up for a change and go Indian for Valentine’s. Baluchi’s is offering a special three-course Valentine’s Day menu that’s a steal at $50 for two. The Indian-inspired décor has a nice air of mystery and romance, too.
