On The Blogs

Our weekly round-up of what others are saying and reporting about the neighborhood.

At Here’s Park Slope, it was business as usual, with blogger Dan Myers bringing us the storefront scoop. For one, fro-yo spot Yogo Monster has closed for a facelift, as has jewelry spot El Milagro on Seventh Avenue and 11th Street, which will merge with sister store Artesana. This week, Myers also reported that Dao Palate is now sporting signage.

Only the Blog Knows Brooklyn, had the scoop on a truly cool story. Local Todd Bieber was skiing in Prospect Park when he found a canister of film, which developed and made a great YouTube video about.

Effed in Park Slope has a cool new column called “Park Slope PPL” in which newbie contributor Park Slope Lens aims to photograph folks in the Slope, and write a short bio of them. This week we met Federico, the doorman at the Ansonia Muse Condominiums. Erica over at FiPS also spotted someone in the neighborhood sporting a catpack (really, it is what you think it is).

And finally, Gothamist brought us a wild rumor that the Atlantic Center Target may have bedbugs — though (admittedly) with no evidence to back it up.
