Holiday Pies from Magpies Bakeshop

Does holiday shopping leave no time for cooking pies and baked goods? Order your sweets from the "Baker of Seventh Avenue."

Meghan Ritchie, “,” who sells scones, muffins, baked goods and pies on her stoop between Lincoln and St Johns places on Wednesdays released her new batch of holiday-themed sweets and pies. 

Tomorrow morning, between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. (or until she sells out) stop by the stoop of 53 Seventh Avenue. You can’t miss it, Ritchie will be outside with a bunch of baked goods and the chalk sign on the stucco of her stoop reads: “Magpies Bakeshop Stop by for a Treat.”

The 30-year-old from Bainbridge, Washington, will be selling roasted tomato and feta scones, orange scented cranberry scones, monkey bread muffins and salted chocolate and peanut butter crispy bars.

Ritchie is also taking orders for holiday pies. Either stop by tomorrow or E-mail her at magpiesbakeshop@gmail.com with the subject line “HOLIDAY ORDER.”

Please give her a week advance before pick-up or delivery time. Each pie is nine-inch deep and costs $30 (cash only).

HOLIDAY PIE MENU:

  • Cinnamon Custard Pie (warm vanilla and cinnamon flavors in a cool custard)
  • Mini Mincemeat Pies (24 mini pies to an order)
  • Gingered Pear Pie (sweet pears spiced with triple ginger)
