Looking for something fun to do with the family this weekend? Each Wednesday, we’ll take a look at all the fun stuff going on in and around Park Slope over the weekend.

Where/When: on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 3 p.m.

Why Go: Fourth Avenue café Zora Space hosts an interactive afternoon for the kids. The Itty Biddies perform a 45-minute show of singing and storytelling for their audience members (but we hear it’s fun for grown-ups, too).

Cost: Free!

Where/When: on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m.

Why Go: Grab the little ones and head to the Central Library’s Youth Wing, where children up to age 5 can play with toys and hear stories.

Cost: Free!

 

Jam on Dumbo

Where/When: Water Street Restaurant on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 3:15 p.m. 

Why Go: A new not-for-profit children’s concert series kicks off its first show this Sunday with a show by Astrograss and Erin Lee and the Up Past Bedtime Band.  Added bonus: there will also be face painting by Sharon Enlow.

Cost: $20 for the first child (parents included), $10 for each additional child.

 

Muppet Vault Movies

Where/When: on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m.

Why Go: Here’s one both parents and their wee ones will appreciate: get a peek at classic, rare and unreleased shows from the Muppets, Sesame Street and other Jim Henson projects in this monthly series from Muppet fan site ToughPigs.com and Secret Formula.

Cost: $8

 

Science Power Hour

Where/When: Prospect Park on Saturday, Feb. 26 and Sunday Feb. 27 at 1 p.m.

Why Go: Head to the Audubon Center for an hour of science fun. A naturalist will supervise the kids in activities that show off just how fun science can really be.

Cost: Free!
