Why Go: On Sunday, check out this improv show that’s fun for the whole family. Here's how it works: Two teams challenge each other to create scenes on the spot. Individual scenes are based on audience suggestions. Willing audience members actually come up on stage to help out, so you might get to be a part of the show!

Cost: $8 but parents get in free!

Summer Theater Workshop Open House

Where/When: The Irondale Center on Sunday, March 20 from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m.

Why Go: Get the scoop on some of the best local summer programs for your star-in-the-making. This weekend, the Irondale Theater hosts a open house where kids and parents can check out what the borough of Brooklyn has to offer in the realm of the dramatic arts.

Arts and Crafts at the Pacific Library

Where/When: on Friday, March 18 at 4 p.m.

Why Go: Let the kids get creative with craft time at the Pacific Library on Fourth Avenue. A couple of enthusiastic librarians oversee as kids put their imaginations to work using glue, glitters, cotton balls and more to create works of art worthy of any refrigerator door.

Cost: Free!

Where/When: on Saturday, March 19 at 11 a.m.

Why Go: Introduce your little ones to this Eric Carle classic and participate in a National Storytime reading of the The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. There will be snacks and activities!

Nature Crafts

Where/When: Prospect Park on Saturday, March 19 and Sunday March 20 at 2 p.m.

Why Go: Head to the Audubon Center for an hour of crafting fun. Kids will have the opportunity to get creative and make works of art from all natural materials.
