Faculty Showcase: "Mélange of Music"       

Where/When: Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, 58 7th Ave, Friday, Oct. 26 at 8 p.m.

Why Go: Come see BCM faculty members perform a variety of works from the XIX and XX century. Composers include Brahms, Berg, Khachaturian, and Robert Xavier Rodriguez. This week’s musicians include faculty members Luis Casal, violin; Neil Rynston, clarinet; and Michael Rose, piano

Bklyn Larder Cheese Socials

Where/When: Brooklyn Larder, 228 Flatbush Ave, Friday, Oct. 26 at 9 p.m.

Why Go: Led by Wil Edwards, editor of Food Society Journal and “FSJ Social Director,” the program will enlighten and inform guests about the many facets of cheese and its complimentary pairings. Doors close to public at 9 p.m. and guests will get a firsthand tour of the cheese counter, then a refined tasting program for the evening.

Halloween Spooktacular

Where/When: 3159 Flatbush Ave, Saturday, Oct. 27 at 12 p.m.

Why Go: Join the community for this years' Halloween Spooktacular! Fun for the entire family with hayrides, a haunted walk, pumpkin painting, a pie eating contest and more! There will also be a free Craft and Gift Fair on Sunday only, featuring hand-crafted jewelry, handbags, custom tie dye clothing, handmade gifts and Holiday Décor. Register early and save!

Halloween at Fort Reno            

Where/When: Fort Reno, 669 Union St, Saturday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m.

Why Go: Come to Fort Reno dressed in costume and have a drink on the house with your dinner!

Virtuoso Guitarist Takes His Shred-Pop Band Back to Park Slope South!

Where/When: Freddy's Bar, 627 5th Ave, Saturday, Oct. 27 at 9 p.m.

Why Go: Jussy just loved the response it got in Park Slope, and simply had to return! And this is an entirely free event. None of that two drink minimum business. You want to see a guitar-shredder up close without paying a penny? Come to Freddy’s!

Reggae In The Slope

Where/When: 837-839 Union St, Sunday, Oct. 28 at 9:30 p.m.

Why Go: Once a month, NY Reggae artists unite to bring Park Slope the finest Jamaican music in the city. Always featuring live bands, and boss DJs, come check out this

This sounds like a job for the 7 On Your Side, or NY1 who may be able to reach NYCDOT and Higher Ranking officials at the 78th PCT to respond to your complaint and do something.
