Where/When: In the Chapel in Green-Wood Cemetery (500 25th Street), Friday, 8 p.m.

Why Go: Brooklyn Underground is a new play which features the “characters” buried at Green-Wood. Come hear first hand accounts of the night President Lincoln was shot, the Brooklyn Theatre Fire of 1885, and other stories culled from the lives and deaths of the 560,000 permanent residents.

Where/When: , 702 Union St, Friday at 11:59 p.m.

Why Go: This is a karaoke dance party for people who do not like karaoke. This weekly event is part singing and part dancing with some crowd surfing just for fun.

Where/When: 2nd Avenue & 5th Street, Saturday, 11 a.m.

Why Go: Cleaning up the Gowanus Canal is now the job of the federal government. But cleaning up the vicinity surrounding the canal is a local initiative. Make Gowanus beautiful by volunteering with the Gowanus Canal Conservancy to tidy up canal's street ends, maintain the composting program and plant street trees.

Where/When: , Prospect Park West and 9th Street, Saturday, 1 p.m.

Why Go: The potatoes planted in May will be harvested today! Come and celebrate the season of change. Children are invited to the Lefferts House to drink fresh apple cider, churn butter, and have potato sack races.

Where/When: , 10 Grand Army Plaza, Saturday, 3:30 p.m.
