Why Go: Because Louis C.K., comedian and TV star of “Louie,” will do what he does best: Perform his hilarious and raunchy stand-up act for two live shows. Tickets will go on sale Friday morning at 10 a.m. You may buy two tickets per person and must be 21 or older.

Where/When: In the Chapel in Green-Wood Cemetery (500 25th Street), Friday, 8 p.m. Additional shows are on Saturday at 3 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.
Why Go: Because this is the last week to see Brooklyn Underground, a play which features the “characters” buried at Green-Wood. Come hear firsthand accounts of the night President Lincoln was shot at the Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C., the Brooklyn Theatre Fire of 1885 and other stories culled from the lives and deaths of the 560,000 permanent residents.
Cost: $20 in advance and for Green-Wood Historic Fund members and $25 at the door.

Why Go: The formidable R&B vocalist N’dambi will rock the house at BAM for free after a 6 to 8 p.m. happy hour. Her album, “Pink Elephant,” released by the famed Stax Records, was nominated for a Grammy and she has collaborated with legends like Erykah Badu. N’dambi’s “sultry contralto voice” and her Isaac Hayes-influenced style will leave you wanting more.

Where/When: 2nd and Bond streets, Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m.
Why Go: The Gowanus Dredgers sponsor self-guided canoes trips through the canal you and a friend (or special someone) can enjoy. Besides being just plain-old-fun, the trip is meant to raise awareness about harbor issues.

Why Go: BAM’s All-Stars series, in celebration of its 150th anniversary, is starting off with cultural icon, three-time Grammy nominee, 11-time Tony Award nominee and Emmy winner Melvin Van Peebles and his musical improv group Laxative.
