Why Go: Get ready to rumba! Learn how to salsa and rumba with the best of them (or just watch others do it) on Friday at this outdoor dancing festival, part of DanceAfrica 2011 and the ¡Sí Cuba! Festival.

Why Go: We know you’ve been looking for an excuse to bust out all those “My So Called Life”-era threads in your closet. Here’s your chance: head to the Bell House on Friday for a night of 90s themed dancing, music and more.

Where/When: , Saturday at 10 a.m.

Why Go: Give back to our beautiful Propsect Park on It’s My Park! Day. Volunteer to help clean up the park – brooms, shovels, rakes and trash grabbers will all be provided.

Cost: Free!

Where/When: , Sunday at 11 a.m.

Why Go: Get your fill of some of the city’s best mobile edibles at the Food Truck Rally on Sunday. Favorites like the Milk Truck, Rickshaw Dumplings and the Treats Truck will all be in attendance, and vendor fees go to help the Prospect Park Alliance.

Where/When: Prospect Park Zoo, Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Why Go: Check out the sheep getting sheared at Prospect Park Zoo. Then go next door to Lefferts House to try washing, carding, spinning and weaving it into cloth.
