Why Go: Check out some of the guiding lights from Brooklyn’s indie music scene. MEN, a band and art/performance collective, will use radical dance music to explore themes of wartime economies and sexual compromise. Savoir Adore will bring the tight harmonies and magical soundscapes. You just bring you and they’ll be all set. 

Cost: Free with museum admission.

Where/When: , Saturday from 12-9 p.m.

Why Go: Learn how to green up your whole life with demonstrations and even nifty films about community sponsored agriculture, solar panels, rain water capture systems, and more. It all wraps up with a concert in the sanctuary.

Where/When: , Saturday at 2 p.m.

Why Go: You love the muppets. The muppets loved singing with the stars. Watch clips of kermit and his friends making music with Prince, Debbie Harry, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, and more, along with drink specials, trivia, and prizes.

Where/When: Fifth Avenue from Sterling Place to 12th Street, Sunday from 12-5 p.m.

Why Go: It’s turning out to be a beautiful spring so far, so take a stroll down Fifth Avenue while listening to live music and sampling the fare of local restaurants. For the kids, there will be arts and crafts projects, rides, and a puppet theater.

Where/When: , Sunday from 3-7 p.m.

Why Go: Oregon is hot right now. Find out what this mysterious rain-soaked land is all about and how to pronounce its name correctly, all the while enjoying its craft beers, a blueberry pie cook-off, and contest for the biggest feet.
