Why Go: Because Hindi Zahra has an original sense of melody, a dash of gypsy guitar and a hint of blues and Jim Campilongo is an “an American treasure,” according to Billboard Magazine.

Where/When: , Eastern Pkwy & Flatbush Ave, Friday, 7 p.m.

Why Go: This monthly get-together is a celebration of bicycles and other nonpolluting means of transportation exercising their right to the road. Brooklyn Critical Mass started in 2004 and meets the second Friday of every month, 7:00 p.m., at Grand Army Plaza.

Cost: FREE!

Where/When: , 1000 Washington Ave, Saturday, 10 a.m.

Why Go: For the 31st year, horticultural professionals and home gardeners alike will come to learn new gardening techniques. This year’s conference is entitled, “Think Global, Grow Local: What’s Next for Urban Gardeners?” The daylong event will feature films and workshops that focus on the many ways to cultivate sustainable innovation in the face of environmental degradation, climate change, and making do with less—from growing food on roofs and windowsills to reducing a garden’s carbon footprint.

Why Go: For one night only Dave Anthony and Greg Behrendt and their miscreant league of misfits will sharing the stage for the first time on the East Coast.

Where/When: , 622 Degraw St, Saturday, 10 p.m.

Why Go: With over 100 years of spinning experience and over 100,000 records between them, the Dream Team—Ge-Ology, Amir (Kon & Amir), The Twilite Tone (Great Weekend), OP! (Decon), Jon Oliver (The Main Ingredient/EVR) and Scribe—will make your body move all night long. Come to hear some Soul, Disco, Boogie, Hip-Hop, House, Techno, New Jack Swing, Dancefloor Jazz, Latin and Funk.

Cost: $10

Where/When: Monte's, 451 Carroll St, Sunday at 6 a.m.

Why Go: Monte’s, the famous Italian restaurant, is an old haunt of the Rat Back—limousines would block Carroll between Third Ave and Nevins St as the coolest of cool came to grab a bite—and now it has live jazz every Sunday.
