Why Go: Get your Derby on! Celebrate what is perhaps the greatest excuse to where a big hat (or seersucker for the gents!) by heading to Union Hall, where the Kentucky Derby will screen alongside fun activities like a Corn-hole Toss and a best hat contest.

Why Go: Just jam. Brooklyn’s “best jam band” comes to The Fifth Estate, playing a hybrid of jungle, soul & trip-hop all at once.

When/ Where: , Saturday at 5 p.m.

Why Go: Get a peek at the Brooklyn Museum after hours. This month, Brooklyn's Museum's hottest event celebrates the natural environment. There will be music from Brooklyn-based string band Frankenpine, dance from Company SoGoNo, art and more.

When/ Where: , Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: If you haven’t yet made it over to Union Hall to see Eugene Mirman’s popular Sunday night comedy show, now is the time. End the week (or start it, if you're a calendar stickler) with a weekly roundup of great stand-up comedy.
