Why Go: Head to the Old American Can Factory for “Original Innocence,” a creative new rock opera about a traveling troupe of performers from a new religious sect. The show was created by New York City artists Dave Nuss and Eric Sander.

Where/When: ; Saturday at 10 a.m. 

Why Go: It may have snowed yesterday, but spring is here – really! Stop by the Old Stone House on Saturday to buy, sell and trade seeds, receive gardening advice and get free plant giveaways at the annual Seed Sale.

Where/When: Putnam Triangle; Saturday at 10 a.m. 

Why Go: It’s planting season, so head to Fort Greene for the 300 Free Tree Giveaway, sponsored by tGreen Fort Greene & Clinton Hill and the FAB Alliance. Trees will be given out one per person, while supplies last.

Cost: Free!

Where/When: 5th Avenue between 3rd and 4th streets; Saturday.

Why Go: Not sure what to do with your old or broken electronics? You’re in luck! The Fifth Avenue BID will be hosting electronic recycling this weekend.

Cost: Free!

Where/When: 5th Avenue; Saturday and Sunday beginning at 10 a.m.

Why Go: Enjoy the warmer weather and take a stroll down Fifth Avenue – from Dean Street to 18th Street. The shopping strip’s merchants will be selling goods from their stoop. Stop in at one of the thoroughfare’s eateries to enjoy Dine In Brooklyn, while you’re at it!
