Frank Sinatra, a Siberian Husky, is three years old and weighs 65 pounds. He is micro-chipped, current on all his shots, is on a regular Frontline regimen and is in great health.
The owner, Stacey Robertson just moved to Park Slope. However, her landlord does not allow dogs.
Robertson is offering “all his food and medications, and some sort of boarding fee” for whoever can give him a good home.
Sinatra does not bark, is well behaved and playful. Robertson also said that, “He is really furry.”
If you can take him in and offer a decent home, please contact Stacey Robertson at stacey@staceyrobertson.com.
This is so selfish. I live in Park Slope, and own a dog. It is not that difficult to find a "pet allowed" apartment. I've helped a few friends in the past, and even as recent as last week. Of course there are beautiful apartments that are not pet friendly, but those are the apartments you pass on, because you own a dog. If you find a place that you love, that doesn't allow dogs, you pass. Because you own a dog. I don't know if this is about the ridiculous 'wanting' to live in Park Slope more than other areas, but I am just shocked that after 3 years, any pet owner can just give it up for a certain zip code. Gross.
I moved to Arizona for a year in 2004 used the internet to find a dozen apartments that were pet friendly and went 2 months ahead of the move to find one that fit our needs. Not only that but I drove the moving truck to Arizona and went to two Penske rental places to find a truck with the door that slides into the container and made him a doggie cubby so that he could be comfortable during the trip! When you have a pet its like you have a kid its a lifetime commitment unless something so drastic changes in your life you need to give them up.
