Come laugh at Littlefield Art & Performance Space for Night Train with Wyatt Cenac. Hosted by Brooklyn-based comedy favorite Wyatt Cenac, Night Train will feature comedy from the best local and international stand up comedians, new and established musicians, local celebrities, and the occasional surprise that can only be found in Gowanus.
Tuesday
Don’t miss Joe Jung at The Way Station. With an array of homemade cigar box instruments as well as his trusty six string, harmonica and tambourine, Joe Jung can have you stomping, dancing, hooting and hollering one minute and crying in your beer the next.
Wednesday
Tonight, check out Roots & Ruckus at Jalopy Theater, 315 Columbia St, for a night of folk, old-time and blues music. You will see and hear people playing banjos, guitars, washboards, tub-basses kazoos and harmonicas. This is the gig to go to for real deal folk music in New York City. Hosted by Feral Foster and featuring a stellar group of musicians.
Thursday
If you’re looking for an interesting night, head to Sacred for Peeling into Burlesque. You will have a blast exploring your sensuality, telling your story and just being downright hot and saucy. This workshop will give you a foundation in classic burlesque and take you step by step through creating your own Burlesque routine that’s unique to you be it classical or theatrical.
Friday
What can be better than live music, yummy food and cool drinks on a Friday night? Come to La Caye Restaurant and dance to Monvelyno Alexis and his band.
