To commemorate Attica's 40th anniversary, BAMCinematek is hosting two documentaries about the Attica prison riots. After the 6:50 p.m. screening Michael Deutsch (Attica Lawyer), Brad Lichtenstein (Filmmaker), Elizabeth Fink (Attica Lawyer)
and Michael Smith (Attica Guard) will hold a panel discussion.

Saturday

Come celebrate the of the , 143 Seventh Avenue. The reading and book signing, featuring Paul Auster, Jonathan Safran Foer, Siri Hustvedt, Nicole Krauss, Mary Morris, and Jon Scieszka, will take place at 2 p.m. across the street at the Old First Reformed Church. The Reception will be to follow at the Community bookstore. The event is free, but an RSVP does not guarantee a spot, so get there early.
