Channel your creative side at , the monthly storytelling series hosted at Southpaw on the first Monday of every month. Each of ten storytellers is given a theme and a microphone, and five minutes to tell one great tale. Anyone can participate, just get there early for a storytelling slot.

Kickstart your New Year's resolutions Wednesday at the Ger-Nis Culinary and Herb Center as wellness coach Robin Simpson dishes on . She'll debunk label myths, as well as provide recipes for great healthy meals like Quinoa and Turkey Stuffed Peppers and Fish Foil with Fresh Veggies and Sun-Dried Tomatoes.

Thursday

Head up Prospect Park West on Thursday to Fez Art Cafe, for the opening night of  former jewelry designer exhibition of  of stained glass suncatchers. The exhibition runs through January 30.

Decrease your carbon footprint and recycle your Christmas tree this weekend at . Simply bring your dying to Parkside and Prospect Park Southwest or Prospect Park West and Third Street and turn the trees into environmentally-friendly mulch for the park.
