Monday

Here's one for the beer geeks out there: tonight, hosts a very special tasting event, featuring the beers of German beermakers Bayerischer Bahnhof. The event will feature old favorite from the brewery such as the Bahnhof Berliner Weisse and Leipziger Gose, but also a host of limited edition, single batch beers that have only appeared stateside a few times.

Sing-a-longs aren't just for kids anymore. On Wednesday, head to the to have a few beers, hang with friends and sing-a-long to your favorite tunes. Get there early and indulge in the Tea Lounge's great happy hour.

This Thursday at the Central Library's Dweck Center, Haitian-born author Edwidge Danticat reads from her recent collection of fiction, Haiti Noir. The collection was edited by Danticat, who is previously the author of such books as "Breath, Eyes, Memory" and "Krik? Krak!," a National Book Award finalist.

Friday

Saturday

On Saturday, head down 14th Street for the opening night of the Gallery Player's "." The play — about a die-hard musical-theater fan whose living room literally bursts to life — is a hoot, not to mention the winner of the 2006 Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Original Score.
