Fleece Fest

See sheep get sheared at Prospect Park Zoo at 1:30pm and 3:30pm. Then go next door to Lefferts House to watch sheared wool become yarn.

On this weekend, a hand stamp lets you visit the Zoo, come to Lefferts, and then return to the Zoo.

Here's the full schedule, which is the same on both Saturday and Sunday:

11 a.m. - 4 p.m.: Sheep-themed arts and crafts in Animals in Art area

12 – 4 p.m.: Wooly Wonders at the barn --  Weaving, felt making, and finger knitting demonstrations

1 - 4 p.m.: Lefferts Historic House -- Watch sheared wool become yarn.

2 - 5 p.m.: Barnyard Hoe-Down -- Get your toes tapping to live country music by the Otter Brothers

1:30 and 3:30 p.m.: Sheep Shearing at the Barn

2:30, 1, 2:30, and 3 p.m.: Live Animal Encounters at the Animals in Our Lives Theater

11:30 a.m., 2, and 4 p.m.: Sea Lion Feedings
