Annual Halloween Children's Parade Back for 2013

One year after being cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy, Park Slope Halloween parade returns.

A favorite among Park Slope children and their families, the annual Park Slope Halloween Children's Parade, cancelled last year due to Hurricane Sandy, returns this year.

This year’s theme, To Boo or Not to Boo, invites neighbors to come dressed up as their favorite fictional characters.

The parade, which was cancelled last year due to Hurricane Sandy, is set for Oct. 31 at 6:30 p.m. rain or shine.

Each year, the event brings elected officials, Civic Council trustees, and of course costumed residents together to celebrate the holiday. Volunteers and merchants along 7th and 5th Avenues will be on hand with plenty of sweets and treats for the trick-or-treating kids. Live bands will also be on hand to round out the experience.
