5 Things: Daylight Saving Time Begins Sunday

Plus exploring the aesthetics of the table with Brooklyn Creates and an art/poetry book release party at LaunchPad.

1. Change the clocks. Yep, it's that time of year again. So move your clocks an hour forward at 2 a.m. To take the edge off, here are five fun Daylight Saving Time facts.

2. Hit the dance floor. Tonight at The Way Station hear the indie rock sounds of Transitshop followed by the country R&B of Wicked Willy. 683 Washington Ave. bet. St. Marks and Prospect, 9 p.m. Free. 

3. Celebrate art and poetry. Head to LaunchPad for the Hardscape/ABC Release Party, which celebrates the release of a collection of poetry and art by Andrew Spano and Ivana Masic. There will be readings from the book, projections of the art, and several featured readers reading from their own work. 721 Franklin Ave. bet. Park and Sterling. 8 p.m. Free.

4. Do something different. Tonight there's also Brooklyn Creates, which explores the aesthetics of the table through farm-to-table food, eclectic brews from Bitter & Esters and hand crafted glass and metal tableware made by Brooklyn Glass and Prospect Heights' own Brooklyn Metal Works. 142 13th St. at 3rd Avenue in Gowanus. 7 p.m. $25.
