Host a Chinese Exchange Student!

Next International Culture Exchange is looking to find host family for a 9th grade girl from China who will attend Beekman School.

A $1000/month stipend will be provided to the host family. It’s the host family’s responsibility to provide a private room and 2 meals daily for school days and 3 meals for non school days. The student can take public transportation to and from school if possible

Why be a host family? Each year, thousands of families across the United States welcome international exchange students. Hosting an international teenager is truly an experience of a lifetime. It is an opportunity to teach and share perspectives of each other’s own countries. Actually, host families are essential to exchange student programs, immersion is the best way for a student to learn.

Opening your home to a NEXT exchange student is a step you can take to experience cultures. Becoming a host family will also greatly benefits future generations. Open your heart and be part of the opening of the new world. NEXT Host Families provide room and board for NEXT high school exchange students, and treat the student as a member of the family. NEXT students pay all of their own fees to cover flights, insurance and spending money.

Requirements:

  • Provide a warm and loving home with full room and board.
    (A room can be shared with a sibling of similar age and gender)
  • Provide meals
  • Local transportation (students are not permitted to drive during the program)
  • Help enroll and attend a nearby High school
  • Treat the student as a member of the family, which may include household rules and responsibilities
  • Show love and care with an open heart. Enjoy the enriching experience of becoming a volunteer host family.
