Free SAT Prep, Brewing Workshop, Tatted-Up Folk "The Exhibit" This Thursday
Local events you won't want to miss.
Good morning, Park Slope. Here's what's going on in and near the neighborhood Thursday.
- Prospect Park Carousel rides will be free all day, every Thursday to children 12 and younger. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Every Thursday in August from 12-2 p.m., bring your lunch to "LunchPad" for a mini social for the work-at-home (or near-home) crowd.
- Huntington Learning Center, located at 808 Union St., is presenting a free SAT Prep Evaluation. Take a full length practice test with Huntington under actual test conditions, and get results the same day. Space is limited to the first 20 students only. The practice test is from 3-7 p.m., and then the score results presentation is 7:30-8:30 p.m.
- The Tea Lounge, located at 837 Union St., will present Tatted-Up Folk “The Exhibit," a personal photography portrait project featuring tattooed and modified parents along with their children, from 7-10 p.m. Admission is free for all.
-Learn to make beer at Brewshop 101: Homebrewing Essentials at Bitter and Esters.
- The House featuring Samantha Browne + The Howling Monkeys +The House play at The Way Station tonight beginning at 8 p.m. Note that the second House is different from Samantha Browne's group.
