About this column:
Every Thursday check back for a look back at the week in Park Slope, minus the words.Slopers concluded their Fourth of July shenanigans and hit the streets this past Tuesday for the start of the Dancing Under the Stars series, Park Slope's weekly summer event featuring two consecutive nights of live music. Yesterday's Dancing Under the Stars was the first of the series dedicated exclusively to youngsters, and featured local children's music group Rolie Polie Guacamole. Who'd even dream of hopping on the subway when the weather is fabulous? In Brooklyn, steadily increasing bicycle traffic is a sure sign that summer has arrived and the past few weeks, we've noticed just about everybody hopping on their bike and going for a ride. Here's our shots of cycles in the Slope (shot this week with a tinge of jealousy, as alas this week our editor's own little red bicycle was stolen!). Snap some great cycle shots yourself? Upload them to our gallery or E-mail 'em to kristen.brown@patch.com.

Here's a few of our findings that we actually managed to get on camera. Snap some great ones yourself? Upload them to our gallery!
Last week, news broke that despite all odds, four fuzzy little goslings had been born in Prospect Park. This week, armed with a camera, we headed to the woody brush near the Dog Beach in the park to snap some photos of the cuties.
