THE STOOP: A Toy RV, A Mini Bicycle and Headbands

Our weekly round up of Brooklyn stoop items.

The Stoop found some treasures this week.

The best item was a toy RV, complete with detailed interior with a bathroom (with a toilet seat that could lift up), a kitchen with a stove and sink, seats and a steering wheel.

In the storage compartment there was a red BMX bike.

A collection of headbands we left stoop-side, with a beaded tiara, grey bunny ears and a pink and red sequence heart ear headband.

Two practical finds were a box of GMAT flashcards and a how-to guidebook for Unix for Mac OS X Tiger.

A pair of UGG-like boots sat on a brownstone.

An interesting read, with the former President of the United States holding a saw and standing in the woods on the cover, “Bushwhacked, Life in George W. Bush’s America” by Molly Ivins and Lou Dubose leaned against a wrought-iron fence.

The easy–to-lug-home find of the week was a single Wiffle ball, perched on a windowsill.

Until next week, keep throwing out those treasures (and curve balls) and we’ll keep picking them up.

About this column: As you may know, many Park Slope residents put their unwanted belongings out on their stoop so a passerby can pick it up and make it their own. This column explores those items and you decide if one person's junk or is another’s treasure. Related Topics: Recycling and The Stoop

It's a sad day when you can't park an RV in Park Slope without the wheels getting jacked.
