Sign the G Train Petition

Save the last five stops of the G train, put your name down.

Public Advocate Bill de Blasio is putting the pressure on the MTA to keep the G train.

De Blasio is pretty enthusiastic about how the MTA is rumored to support keeping the last five stations of the G — 4th Ave.-9th St., 7th Ave., 15th St. Prospect Park, Fort Hamilton Pkwy and Church Ave. We still don’t know for sure, but the Daily News wrote yesterday that its sources .

De Blasio send a statement that almost sounds like G train riders won already:

“It’s hard to remember the last time we had good news about transit in Brooklyn. Our message to the MTA was simple: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” de Blasio said. “It looks like we’ve been heard. Keeping these extra five stops is a huge win for commuters and businesses in the Slope, Windsor Terrace and Kensington.”

But de Blasio is not going to believe the rumors and sit back. He is trying to organize the G train riders and have them all sign a petition. The fight is not over yet, the MTA will not make a formal decision for months.
