Tarzian Hardware was originally opened in 1921 by the Tarzian family. Though it was originally located in a different storefront, it has been a Park Slope staple ever since.

In a neighborhood where local businesses are these days fast-replaced by chains, a local store is something to cherish.

But Park Slope's main commercial drags are still home to at least a few local businesses that have been around for decades. Here's a look at three of them.

What about J&R. I think that they have been in business for many years.
