Motorcyclist Injured in Fourth Ave. Crash

The accident was the third crash on the avenue in just four days.

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a Fourth Avenue collision on Tuesday evening.

The motorcyclist hit a car at Fourth Avenue and Baltic Street at around 8:11 p.m., according to the Fire Department. The victim was taken away unconscious from the scene, and is current in serious condition at Lutheran Hospital. He is expected to survive, according to police.

The accident was the third in the Park Slope vicinity of the avenue in only four days; locals have long called for traffic calming measures on the speedy thoroughfare. Over the weekend, there were two other accidents on the avenue. In a Sunday morning accident at Fourth Avenue and President Street, in a multiple car accident. On Saturday, and two injured in an accident on Fourth Avenue and 25th Street.
