There's no doubting it: With the passing of each day, Barclays Center becomes more and more of a brick-mortar-and-steel reality for the neighborhoods surrounding Atlantic Yards.

And Patch has the pictures to prove it.

Since the first Patch in Brooklyn launched in October 2010, we've been documenting the often rapid progress at the Barclays Center site—from the raising of the first vertical steel beams, the installation of stadium seating and the arrival of giant cranes hoisting pieces of roof.

In between, we've covered the discovery of mysterious vials of arsenic, a rally led by workers claiming they had been cheated out of promised jobs by Forest City Ratner and the 24/7 pace of Atlantic Yards construction.

So as another winter approaches and the stadium's Sept. 28, 2012 opening date draws nearer, here's a collection of photos taken at the Barclays Center site from October 2010 to December 2011:
