2012 Olympics: Where to Watch in Park Slope

Cheer on Team USA as they go for the gold in London at these great local watering holes.

Go USA! When it comes to cheering on our countrys Olympians (including at least ) it's always better to do it with a crowd. Here are six great places to watch the London 2012 Olympic Games.

For something more energetic, Let’s Move! Brooklyn is hosting an  on Saturday, July 28. There will be fitness activities appropriate for all ages.

, 200 5th Ave, 718-638-2925. Now with over 100 TVs, 200 Fifth will be showing all of the Olympic games. Make sure you know their hours: Sun. to Wed. 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Thursday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Fri. to Sat. 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. 

, 339 9th St, 718-788-1444. The Dram Shop has great burgers and fries, but if you’re there for the games, you’re in luck since they will be showing them on their five TVs and one projector. Hours: Mon. through Thurs., 3 p.m. to 4 a.m., Fri. 2 p.m. to 4 a.m., Sat. and Sun 12 p.m. to 4 a.m.

, 312 7th Ave, 718-788-7747. This Readers’ Choice winner serves Miller Lite for only $3, has karaoke and a jukebox. They will be showing the Olympics on their 12 TVs and one 6-foot screen. Open daily 12 p.m. to 4 a.m.

, 440 5th Ave, 718-788-5218. Don’t miss this Park Slope staple, which has been open since the 1930s, for they will be showing the games of all games on their 7 TVs. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 a.m.

, 568 5th Ave, 718-788-1975. Come to Black Horse Pub for $4 Stella while you watch the US win the gold (be careful, it is a British bar) on their 8 TVs. If you want other beers, don’t worry, they have a rotating selection of 16 beers on tap. Open everyday from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m.

, 307 Flatbush Ave. at Prospect, 718-230-8646. Not only will this energetic Mexican restaurant be showing the games, but they also offer a private viewing for you and your friends in the back-room "Margarita Lounge" with its own 42" flatscreen TV (call for details).

636 Carlton Ave., 347-915-2222. Head to this new farm-to-table restaurant specializing in sutainable and organic cuisine to watch the games in style. 

, 308 Flatbush Ave. (at Park Place) 718-857-5555. This sprawling space has eight TVs at the bar and eleven on the floor, plus pool and other games if a not-so-exciting event comes on.
